On-site airtightness testing to measure the air permeability of a building

Praxis Resilient Buildings SL is a certified laboratory (CAT-L-126) for performing Blower Door airtightness tests in Spain (UNE EN ISO 9972). These tests measure and certify the air permeability of buildings and critical spaces, detecting leaks with a hot-wire anemometer, smoke generator, and thermography. We optimize compliance with the Spanish Building Code (CTE DB HE) and certifications (Passivhaus, LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, VERDE, MINERGIE) by providing clear reports and actionable recommendations.

Air permeability testing in buildings
We perform the Blower Door test on-site or in occupied buildings, according to UNE EN ISO 9972, with pressurization/depressurization and pressure-flow curve analysis. We locate air leaks using a hot-wire anemometer and smoke generator to support CTE DB HE compliance or certifications (Passivhaus, LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, VERDE, MINERGIE). We deliver reports with n50/qE50 results and proposed improvements.
Air leakage testing of windows & doors
We test windows, doors, and building systems on-site, in accordance with UNE EN12207:2017 and UNE EN1026:2017, with a flow rate of 100 Pa and the resulting class. We also perform on-site test series to validate seals and joints of building systems.
Airtightness testing of pressurised stairwells
We measure leaks in stairwells and pressurized lobbies, identify points that prevent reaching 50–60Pa and diagnose smoke entry points (joints, doors, ducts), to comply with the design according to UNE EN12101-6 and the operation of your system.
Air leakage in healthcare and hospital buildings
We tested sensitive areas, such as rooms in a hospital ward, by pressurization / depressurization and qe50 / n50 results per stay; we developed sealing recommendations to improve pathogen containment and comfort.
Air permeability testing in cold storage rooms
We measure permeability in freezing/refrigeration chambers, comparing it with reference specifications (e.g., BSRIA for cold rooms) and reporting qe50 / n50. We locate leaks in sliding doors, glazing beads, trims and anchors, with sealing proposals to reduce energy losses and condensation.
Air leakage diagnosis in data centres
We perform end-to-end testing in data centres (FOH/BOH areas, technical rooms). We report n50 / qE50 according to ISO 9972, verifying seals in opaque enclosures, infiltration through windows and doors, and leaks through building services. We use smoke detection and anemometers; we deliver a prioritized improvement plan to minimize air by-pass and energy costs.
