Life Cycle Assessment
We assess the environmental impact and carbon footprint of buildings using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Life Cycle Costing (LCC), based on EPD data and ISO 14040. We compare construction alternatives to support decarbonisation strategies and optimise material choices.
Energy modelling & building performance optimisation
We model the thermal and energy performance of buildings using the dynamic simulation tool DesignBuilder–EnergyPlus, including HVAC simulation, summer overheating analysis, daylighting, passive design, thermal envelope optimisation, multi‑zone thermal load calculations, and simulations for LEED, BREEAM, DGNB and Minergie certifications.
Condensation analysis
We evaluate the risk of surface and interstitial condensation using dynamic hygrothermal simulation (WUFI, EN 15026) and Glaser EN ISO 13788 analysis, for both new builds and retrofits. We assess vapour diffusion, dew point formation and envelope performance to ensure healthy and durable construction assemblies.
Thermal bridge 2D & 3D calculations
We perform thermal bridge modelling according to ISO 10211, to optimise construction details for energy efficiency, comfort and durability. Our analysis reduces heat losses and prevents humidity‑related issues in both new construction and refurbishment, including compliance verification with building codes and Passivhaus requirements.
Low‑impact materials & IAQ consultancy
We provide guidance on low‑impact, healthy and bio‑based materials, with a strong focus on circular economy principles, decarbonisation and enhanced indoor air quality (IAQ). Using EPDs and technical data, we help project teams compare alternatives and ensure compatibility with LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, and WELL supporting material choices that are both healthy and environmentally responsible.
Water management
We design water‑efficient strategies including rainwater management, greywater and blackwater treatment systems, and building‑wide water reduction measures.
